Meaning the key posts are soldered to a metal rib that runs the length of the body, this means that the key posts are protected a little better from impact and the sax stays in regulation. The instrument has probably been played 20-30 hours at most and was ideal for live and recorded music due to its silver finish contributing to a slightly brighter sound (to my ears at least). Pads are all original and do not need any adjustment as I work on my own equipment. The instrument plays beautifully from top to bottom and has never needed any work to put right. That is usually key corks that wear down from playing, but no such problem on this horn.
The original case was one with a long zip that was not sturdy enough to be taken outdoors or indeed on a plane, so I used a really expensive Kinsman case which has been a treat to use even if it adds to the weight. I would rather have a working sax than not after a journey with it. The case has an internal pocket for accessories and I used a bag for the neck and placed it in the bell. I found the internal pocket was a little too shallow to accomodate the neck.
I will supply the bag so you can use it in the bell for safe keeping. It has a small indent on one surface approx 10mm wide.
The mouthpiece is the original which I have never used as its not my type, preferring my Dukoff for a brighter sound. I can supply different reeds if you know what you need. Otherwise it will be supplied with a 2.0 strength to get you going. The stand shown is just to aid me taking pictures, so not included.
Accessories include cork grease, reed, neck strap, cleaning swab for removing the moisture after playing (very necessary tool for keeping pads working well). I can swap this out for a standard fabric strap if requested at checkout. I will use Parcelforce 48 to deliver the sax to your door.
