Check out my other items. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. This listing is for a vintage Meyer alto saxophone mouthpiece. It is a 1960's era piece with "New York USA" stamped on the shank. It is an early NY, USA version, with scooped inner side walls, just like Meyer Bros.Model from the 1950's. This version has a thinner body though, so it is a bit brighter. It has a medium chamber, long facing curve, and #3 tip opening which measures.
It is in fair used condition. There is no major damage, but the rails are fairly nicked up. Since this one is a really small tip opening anyway, it would be a great candidate for refacing. The nicking should smooth out as part of a standard reface/opening.
Aside from that, it is in good condition. There are no tooth indentations in the beak, and no cracks or other damage. It is a bit discolored from age.The item "VINTAGE MEYER EARLY NEW YORK, USA ALTO SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE 3L MEDIUM CHAMBER" is in sale since Friday, March 13, 2020.
