Model from the 1950's. This version has a thinner body though, so it is a bit brighter.
This is the same type of piece that Phil Wood, as well as countless other bebop and big band altoists, used. It has a medium chamber, medium facing curve, and #6 tip opening. It is rare to see these in anything larger than a #5 tip, but today's players tend to prefer the larger openings. The actual tip opening is.
080 on the dot, and it is all original! This piece is in excellent, lightly used condition. The facing is perfectly smooth.
There are no tooth indentations in the beak. It is still black and shiny.
