Vintage Conn alto saxophone, with Brilhart mouthpiece. Two-tone finish - not sure if it's silver plated or nickel plated - playable and collectable.
Usual wear and tear in vintage saxophone that's been played, but in good condition plays quite well on non-original reflector pads, some marked "Gordon Besson". Marked'L' for'Low Pitch', plays in tune with modern instruments. Brilhart mouthpiece (vintage, has serial number) plays well, has good rails and tip, possibly repaired shank, and the black bite-guard has been bitten through to the white plastic. At the moment this listing is just for the saxophone, and mouthpiece/lig Unless someone leaps in and buys it instantly, I will see if I have suitable accessories, soft case etc. Amongst my own bits and pieces as the listing progresses.I've checked it out on my own alto tenor mouthpiece (NOT included) and it plays quite well for the age - although we all like to'tweak' instruments to suit our own preferences. I did notice that - although the microtuner turns freely - I can't discern a lot of in/out movement of the cork, might need attention. Obviously you can still tune by moving the mouthpiece on the cork. See useful link below for how to service/repair microtuners. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
