It is a "short shank" type, as identified by the pronounced "U" shaped dip between the body and the scroll around the shank. This one comes in the C facing, which has always been the most popular. It measures right on spec at. This piece is in near mint condition.
It is easily the nicest one I've ever seen! It has barely been played. The only evidence that it has been played at all is a tiny bit of tooth scratching on the beak. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and it is all original.
It is still black and shiny, and still has the gold inlay in the logo, lettering, and on the shank. You won't find a nicer one unless you invent a time machine and go back to 1957!
