Rare 1940s Berg Larsen Duckbill Alto Mouthpiece. Condition is Used for 70+ years old I think its doing pretty well. Its got some discolouration and scratching to the body, there is a bit of line scale type build up in the inner chamber and along the rails etc. This in my opinion does not affect the sound but could be cleaned off by a professional.
This mouthpiece is like a bullet, it plays so loud and bright in a good way, not honk honk sounding! I love it, but alas need to have a clear out as were too move house.Due to the age and previous wreck-less owners Berg Stamp and facing size have all but rubbed off, however the front faintly shows Berg Larsen and London, the back showing the tip opening of 95 (0.95 give or take) cant make out a baffle or facing but based on playing I would say its 0 and SMS as its plays similar to a matching Tenor mouthpiece I had a number of years back. Feel free to make me an offer and check out my other Alto pieces, all need to go to help the house fund.
